Who sends the texts
Benian Technologies sends these texts from the toll free number +1 (866) 535-8709. They are about calls booked with Emre Benian, the founder of Benian Technologies.
What is sent and when
When someone books a free 20 minute call with Emre during a phone call with him and says yes to texts, Benian Technologies sends at most two texts for that meeting:
- A confirmation right after the booking
- A reminder 1 hour before the call
If the meeting moves, one new reminder replaces the old one. The texts are about that meeting only, never marketing.
How a person agrees
The person agrees out loud during the phone call. This is a verbal opt in. Before booking, Emre asks:
"Can I text you a confirmation now and a reminder an hour before? It's from Benian Technologies. Message and data rates may apply, and you can reply STOP any time."
Texts are sent only after a clear yes.
A sample conversation
Emre: "Can I text you a confirmation now and a reminder an hour before? It's from Benian Technologies. Message and data rates may apply, and you can reply STOP any time."
Caller: "Sure, that works."
Emre: "Great. Is this the best mobile for it?"
Caller: Confirms the number.
How the yes is saved
At that moment Emre ticks "They said yes to texts" in Benian's booking system. It stores the date and time, the mobile number, the wording used and the call it came from.
The box is never ticked by default.

Reminder, 1 hour before the call
